PERFECT INDOOR PLANTS
Decorative plants are an affordable way to add colour and interest to a room. Plants literally breathe life into interiors, cleaning the air in your home as they grow. We’ve listed some common indoor plants, with tips on how to keep them growing strong.
Bromeliad
This is a perfect plant to grow indoors, most of the varieties thrive easily in a container in shade. It is a tropical plant but you can grow it anywhere indoors. It can even grow in luminescent light.
Carex morrowii
Japanese sedge
This is a shade-loving ornamental grass, it grows well indoors.
Ferns
The Maidenhair fern is a popular option. Be sure to water frequently and keep this house plant in indirect sun.
Chamaedorea elegans
The Parlor palm
This is the most popular indoor palm variety and it’s an excellent house plant for almost any situation, it grows even in those dim corners where nothing else will grow. It requires only minimal care and moderate light. Water only when soil is dry otherwise, you’ll kill your plant.
Philodendron
The philodendron easily adapts to lower-light conditions. They come in both vine and shrub varieties. The soil must be constantly moist but not wet. It’s best if the soil dries out slightly between watering sessions.

Mother-in-law’s tongue
This is a low maintenance plant. It’s a very durable and popular house plant. Its ability to tolerate darkness is amazing.
Chlorophytum comosum
Spider plant or Hen and chicken
It looks beautiful in hanging baskets and pots. Best kept on windowsills or near an entrance as it likes indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight often causes burning of leaves.
