HOW TO MOUNT A MIRROR

No mirror, mirror on the wall? Chamberlains will show you how to mount one on a tiled wall. Whilst care is needed when drilling through glass and tiles, with our help and the proper tools, you’ll have your mirror successfully mounted in minutes.

SPRAY A LITTLE WATER WHERE YOU'RE GOING TO DRILL. DOING SO WILL STOP GLASS SHARDS FLYING FR0M THE MIRROR.

Step 1

Cut a plywood board to match the measurements of your mirror. Drill a hole through a corner board using the same size drill bit for the wall. This hole will act as a guide.

Step 2

Place the wooden template on top of your mirror. Make sure all sides are perfectly aligned.

Step 3

Secure a diamond core drill bit to your drill. Align the holes and start to drill carefully. Don’t exceed 500rpm.

Step 4

Next, place your mirror against the wall and carefully mark each hole with a pencil. You’ll need someone to hold the mirror steady.

Step 5

Replace your diamond core drill bit with a masonry one. Be sure to turn off the hammer action. Start drilling slowly.

Step 6

Insert all four wall plugs into the holes in the wall. Make sure they fit. Insert the pylon plugs into the mirror. These will fasten to your wall plugs. Using all the wall screws, secure your mirror in the wall. To finish the job, attach chrome caps to the end of each screw. That’s it!
